Gaelic Storm

Chaps
Made it through the first full week of classes and after getting off work hit the gym. It was naptime after that and after cooking dinner I went out for a while to see if anyone was out and about. I did run into some friends but still called it an early evening. I don’t work on Fridays but did work around the house, mowed the lawn and did laundry and for the most part stayed home and then went out in the evening to catch up with some friends.

Today (Saturday) I got up early and after a light breakfast packed up my gym stuff and ran my morning errands. I picked up some tickets to the Irish Festival and finally made it to the store to pick up some carpet shampoo as my carpet has been complaining.

It was then off to fill the extra gas grill propane tank incase the one that I am using runs out of fuel while cooking dinner. After picking up some fertilizer for the lawn headed to the gym and then it was shopping for groceries for dinner. My friend Kurt was coming over for dinner this evening so picked up some pork chops to thrown on the grill and some fresh corn on the cob and some new potatoes. The carpet got shampooed and I showered and started dinner. Kurt finally got here and after dinner we headed to the Irish Festival here in Kansas City. We wanted to get to the venue in time to see and hear Gaelic Storm The sun was setting over the Liberty Memorial as the band hit the stage.

As usual the concert was great and I think that the fiddle player has gotten better than the last time I heard her play. The first time I saw Gaelic Storm they had a different Fiddle Player and she was amazing and then a year ago Memorial day when [info]notdefined, [info]mh58 and [info]mightyrunt were visiting me from SF and NY I find that they had a new fiddle player. She was good but tonight she really kicked ass. I think that she is also better than a year ago tonight when [info]theoctothorpe was visiting me during this long holiday weekend. BTW Christopher wish you could have joined Kurt and I for the evening.

Now just home relaxing and soon it is off to bed. Not sure what I am going to do tomorrow (Sunday) but I am sure that I will figure out something to do with my day. I am not sure but I think that I hear my bicycle calling me from the basement right now. Perhaps it is time to take it out for a spin.
